Our history
A lingerie and intimate apparel design brand born in 2018 with a simple yet powerful message: to help women reconnect with the natural beauty of their bodies. At Esencia we celebrate naturalness with garments crafted in Colombia, in small, conscious productions.
Why do we shave?
We have three types of body hair, and all of them fulfill specific biological functions. We trace the journey from hair removal in the Stone Age to the advertising narratives of the 20th century that turned female body hair into something to eliminate, and we invite you to make this decision consciously.
Why do we release few units of our designs?
The textile industry is the second most polluting in the world. We talk about the fast fashion model, the real impact of polyester and cotton, and why at Esencia we prefer to produce limited quantities, planning by demand and carefully choosing every material. An invitation to buy consciously.
Degenitalize our pleasure
How we understand and live our intimacy is a process of personal self-discovery. For centuries female pleasure has been silenced beneath taboos, omissions, and double standards. A reflection on our own bodies, on desire, and on masturbation as a dialogue of self-love and meditation with oneself.
